careA natural patina develops on gold over time. A small polishing cloth removes the oils of daily wear and brings back the shine.
Use gentle dish soap and a soft-bristle toothbrush to lift any residue, then pat with a towel and let the piece air dry. For enameled pieces, wiping with a soft cloth is enough.

Opening is a small deliberate act. Press the button, give the top a quarter turn, and lift. Inside, a gold chain connects the top to the vessel chamber so the two are never parted.
Align the top and bottom, push and twist and it locks securely.
