Midheaven Orb Bracelet

A one-of-a-kind bracelet of diamond cabochons. Nine natural champagne diamonds, 4.52 carats in all, are cut as smooth, high-domed cabochons rather than faceted, each in its own Midheaven window, matched tone for tone to the 18k gold. Across the wrist, they create the illusion of drops of golden sunlight. Small links, each set with a tiny white diamond, join one window to the next. Every link is articulated and every detail considered, down to the handmade lock, with a single diamond cabochon as its push button.

A diamond cabochon is rare. Diamond rough is almost always faceted. To cut a high dome, the cutter has to align the rough to the direction of its growth, and only a few will take it on. Rarer still is finding enough rough in one color and one clarity to cut a matched set. These nine were matched to each other and to the gold, for this bracelet alone.
